“Life is like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re gonna get “- Forest Gump
Life is like that sometimes, but instructing your lawyer shouldn’t be. That’s why when you work with us, we will agree a clear scope for the work that needs to be done to achieve your objectives. Then you’ll be kept up-to-date on progress so that you always know where you are in the process and what the next step is.
We recognise that most clients are relying on us to tell them what’s going to be involved and the work that needs to be done. For this reason, we use our experience to try to identify as many of the possible scenarios that may arise along the way, right at the beginning. That way we can advise you as fully as possible of all of the work that’s going to be needed to complete your matter.
We don’t like being surprised with extra work that we weren’t counting on and we think you don’t either. Equally, we think that you don’t want to be over-sold a whole heap of extra stuff that isn’t neccessary. Instead, we take time to understand what you’re trying to achieve so that we can agree exactly what needs to be done. If there are optional “nice-to-haves”, we’ll tell you about those too if we think they would be of benefit to you; but we’ll make it clear what’s optional and what’s neccessary so that you always have then choice.
